(Oahu)– Millwood Ohana Productions announced today the launch of Hawaii’s newest haunted attraction: the First Annual Hawaii Haunts Scare Festival. The festival will run October 7th-31st in Kalaeloa, Kapolei, and will be open nightly from 5pm-10pm, and 5pm-12am on Fridays and Saturdays.
With the closure of the Haunted Lagoon at the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a lack of Halloween activities catering to both kids and adults, with easy parking and access, Millwood Ohana Productions, in partnership with Pepsi and US Vets, aims to provide an easier way for families to enjoy Halloween together.
The festival will consist of three main attractions, the main event being The Haunted Forest, a 2,000-foot walk of terror with sets designed to scare, creepy costumes, special effects, and professional actors. The Haunted Forest is guaranteed to satisfy your horror hunger. General admission to The Haunted Forest is $25 online, $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.HawaiiHaunts.com.
“We are taking Hawaii’s haunted attractions to the next level by presenting the most thrilling, bone-chilling experience, night after night,” David Millwood, owner of Millwood Ohana Productions. “The haunted forest will have more gruesome scenes, horrifying sights, special effects, gory details, and startling scares than Hawaii has ever experienced before!”
In addition to the The Haunted Forest, there will also be The Ohana Scare Festival, complete with food tents, rides, games, arts & crafts, and retail booths from local vendors. Also included in the festival will be The Fun Zone, a 60-yard 3-D maze, designed to entertain kids of all ages. “This will be O’ahu’s first, and only, family-friendly Halloween attraction with activities to satisfy all levels of ‘scare’ and excitement. Fun for the whole family!”
Locally owned and operated since 1989, Millwood Ohana Productions is Hawaii’s “one stop shop” for all special events needs. Bring your whole ‘ohana down to our upcoming festivals to enjoy ono food, entertainment, and much more! We’ll make this a Halloween that will haunt you for the whole year!
