(Maui) – The Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, announced that due to insufficient staffing, the Molokai Landfill will close at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014. The closure is necessary as the department must be able to ensure safe operations and meet the minimum State Department of Health operating requirements of the County’s solid waste permit.

The Solid Waste Division apologizes for the inconvenience.
