(KŌLOA) – The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupuno Builders are announcing that Ala Kalanikaumaka, from Ala Kukuiula to the Po‘ipū roundabout, in Kōloa will be closed March 14 and March 15 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for road resurfacing work.
Motorists heading southbound from the Kōloa roundabout will be detoured to Lopaka Paipa Boulevard and Po‘ipū Road. Residents and visitors accessing Kukuiula from Po‘ipū be detoured around the closure to Lopaka Paipa Boulevard and Ala Kukuiula. Motorists wishing to travel northbound from the Po‘ipū roundabout to Kōloa Road should take Po‘ipū Road or use alternate routes.
Signs and Flaggers will be positioned along the closure to detour traffic around the work zone. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, detours, and adjusted traffic flow. Use alternate routes and allow for extra time to get to destinations.
