(KAPA‘A) – An open house highlighting the East Kaua‘i Community Plan will be held at the Kapa‘a Middle School cafeteria on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The public is invited to provide input at the open house on policy objectives and goals for the East Kaua‘i plan that were developed through community visioning workshops. The input will be used to create an implementation plan.
Comments will also be accepted at the Kapa‘a Art Night from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The Planning Department staff will be manning a table at that event.
The East Kaua‘i Community Plan 2035 sets a vision and goals for managing future growth and improving the quality of life for the East Kaua’i region, which extends from the Wailua River to Moloa‘a Bay.
Highlights of the plan include:
– Recommended locations for infill development
– Future growth areas for new housing
– Recommendations for capital projects
