(Lihue)- County officials announced that registration for the annual Hershey’s Track and Field Meet will end on Monday, May 5.
The program is open to youngsters ages nine to 14 who were born between 2000 and 2005.
Applications are available at the following neighborhood centers during normal business hours: Kīlauea; Kapa‘a; Līhu’e; Kōloa; Kalāheo; Hanapēpē; Kaumakani; Waimea; and Kekaha.
In addition, applications can be picked up at the Department of Parks and Recreation’s main office at the Līhu’e Civic Center, Mo‘ikeha Building, suite 105.
The Hershey’s Track and Field Meet is set for Saturday, May 10 at Vidinha Stadium starting at 9 a.m. No applications will be accepted at the meet.
Events will include: 50 meter dash; 100 meter dash; 200 meter run; 400 meter run; 800 meter run; 1600 meter run; relays; softball throw; and standing broad jump.
