(Hawaii)–Smoking, unhealthy eating habits, and not getting enough exercise can have harsh effects on a teen’s health. It’s best they pick up the healthy habits early on, because the habits can carry on into adulthood.

There is good news:
“Fewer students are drinking soda daily. And fewer students are using unhealthy weight control methods.” (7)
Still, Mom and Dad need to support good habits.
“Parents can promote healthy behaviors by encouraging their teenager to get enough sleep and exercise, and to eat healthy balanced meals.” (7.5)
