(HONOLULU) – The City and County of Honolulu is notifying the public that the middle parking stalls at the back of the Ala Wai Golf Course will be temporarily closed to allow for the construction of a new solar photovoltaic (PV) canopy structure.
The work, being carried out by Hui Kupa‘a under the management of Johnson Controls, is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. A temporary chain-link fence has been installed around the work area. Construction is expected to be completed by September 30, 2025. The Ala Wai Golf Course remains open, and all clubhouse and course operations will continue without interruption.
Signage and alternative parking options will be provided during the project period. Mahalo for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our community facilities.
