(Honolulu)–Senior living specialists The Plaza just recently opened a new facility in Moanalua to satisfy the growing demand for residents who have reached the so called golden age.
The Plaza at Moanalua started construction in 2011 and recently opened its doors. This community is now the home to 160 residents and offers Independent, Assisted Living Plus, and Memory Care levels of Care. The new facility is located just behind Kaiser Hospital.
The Plaza Regional Director, Tricia Medeiros spoke to Hawaii Ahe about the opening of the new Moanalua location and highlighted some of the amenities and services new tenants can expect at this new location. “We are able to offer the best care for people looking for assisted living facilities,” she said. “The Plaza takes pride in offering some of the finest services by some of the best staff in the industry.”
The Plaza not only offers medical care and full meals but also offers transportation as well as housekeeping and recreation rooms for all its residents.

Contrary to popular belief, Medeiros explained, “that the facilities are within the reach of folks who use Medicare or Social Security.” She added: “the prices for full services can range between $3,800 and $7,000 monthly, depending on the level of care.”
Medeiros explained that her organization goes through a grueling selection process to hire staff members with adequate qualifications. “We are very selective with our employees and we do not allow them to have a criminal background. They even go above and beyond for what the state rules dictate,” she said.
Attention to the smallest details and a passion for serving their clientele is a staple of The Plaza Assisted Living Facilities, according to Medeiros. “Our founder started The Plaza after being frustrated with the level of service for senior care in Hawaii.
