(Hawaii)– USO Hawaii is excited to host its 3rd annual “Tribute to the Troops” at the Polynesian Cultural Center (55-370 Kamehameha Highway, Laie, HI) on March 14, 2020 from 11:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The day will include free park admission to all active duty, retired and reserve service members and their family members, so that they can enjoy a day of family fun and cultural experiences. Additionally, active duty, retired, and reserve service members and their family members will be offered discounted rates to the luau and USO Hawaii will be giving away four free tickets on its Facebook page, which can be found here.
Providing opportunities for service members and their families to spend more time together is at the core of USO’s mission to connect service members to family, home, and country. That is why USO Hawaii, together with the Polynesian Cultural Center, is offering a free day of admission to the Polynesian Cultural Center for active duty, retirees, and reserve service members and their families for our event, Tribute to the Troops.
Between trainings, deployments, and long workdays, families don’t get to spend as much time with their service members as they’d like – especially to have fun and learn about the culture of their duty station. Service members usually get orders for a time period between one to three years, which can make it difficult to learn about the place that you just moved to and will soon have to leave. Free admission to the Polynesian Cultural Center provides these families and service members an all too needed day of family fun and cultural experiences.
Note: Local active duty, retirees, and reserve service members and their families do not need to register for general admission to the park. Luau tickets must be purchased at any Military ITT office in advance.
