(Honolulu)–The Honolulu City Lights Wreath contest produced a range of excellent entries, including “Golden Pear” by Marian Bernal, selected as the winner of the Mayor’s Holly Award.
Seventy-two entries were received from all over Oahu. Awards were based on craftsmanship, creativity, and use of materials. Dita Holifield, Paulette Kahalepuna, and Betty Kam from the City and County of Honolulu Commission on Culture and the Arts judged the competition.
The Mayor’s Holly Award winner Marian Bernal receives a blue ribbon and a $200 prize.
