(LIHUE) – In an effort to improve customer service, the Department of Water’s (DOW) new online “Customer Service Portal” is now available through www.kauaiwater.org.
“Our new Customer Service Portal is an opportunity for customers to go online and ask questions, and obtain information from our staff,” said Kirk Saiki, DOW’s manager and chief engineer. “Online requests can be as simple as applying for water service, or something more complex such as determining the requirements for installing a water meter.”
DOW’s Customer Service Portal mainly serves as a webpage where customers can create and track service requests. Customers can also interact with staff through online chat sessions Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Online payments are not available at this time, however the DOW is working on providing this function in the future.
“We understand our customers’ need for online payment options, and we are working hard to make that a reality one day,” said Marites Yano, DOW’s waterworks controller. “Until then, we encourage customers to utilize our new Customer Service Portal as an alternative to standing in line or calling our office.”
To visit the DOW’s new Customer Service Portal visit www.kauaiwater.org and click on the “Customer Service Portal” link. There is no registration required.
