(Honolulu)– With their soothing purr and graceful insistence for treats and rubs, cats bring charm to our lives in so many ways. The Hawaiian Humane Society celebrates Oahu’s feline friends in June with cat adoption specials.
Cat lovers are invited to the Hawaiian Humane Society to find the love of their life and meet felines seeking adoption. All can adopt two cats or kittens for the price of one.
With more than 75 cats to choose from, the Hawaiian Humane Society features a large variety of cats. The $65 adoption fee includes services valued up to $1,000, including spay/neuter surgery, health examination, microchip ID and post-adoption health care for two weeks.
In addition to adoption specials, the Hawaiian Humane Society is offering $10 “Feline Fix” sterilization surgeries for 100 feral cats throughout the month of June. Emailjdunn@hawaiianhumane.org or call 356-2215 to book a surgery appointment for June. Schedule today as only a limited number of sterilizations are available at this $10 rate.
Cats must be more than eight weeks old, weigh more than two pounds and be delivered in a cat carrier or humane trap. Humane traps are available for sale and on loan at the Hawaiian Humane Society (call 356-2285 for more information). Same day drop-off and pick-up will be at the Humane Society.
Crazy Shirts has unveiled its original 2012 Love a Cat Shirt, specially created for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Sold at International Marketplace, Pearlridge Center and Ala Moana Shopping Center, each shirt sales generates a donation for the animals. Shirts are also available at the Hawaiian Humane Society at $25 for adult sizes and $18 for children’s sizes.
