(Honolulu)– Roosevelt High School Peer Education Program students, led by Hawaii Meth Project Teen Advisory Council Member and Roosevelt junior, Macey Seguancia, partnered with the Hawaii Meth Project to host an on-campus educational event to raise awareness about the dangers of meth and spread the Meth Project’s “Not Even Once” message during National Prevention Week, May 12-18.
The event will included a lunchtime rally emceed by Power 104.3 radio crew and featured the Hawaii Meth Project along with live art by the Roosevelt High School’s 808 Urban Junior Board. Students had the opportunity to learn about on-campus resources for students with drug counseling needs and how to take action against this drug epidemic. The lunchtime rally was followed by an assembly, where students heard from Andre Pulido, a recovering meth addict and student Macey, whose father is a meth addict in prison.
