(KAPOLEI)– Kaiser Permanente Hawaii celebrated the completion of its new Kapolei Clinic Pharmacy with a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony. The addition to the Kapolei Clinic will enable patients to see their physician and fill prescriptions in a single visit. The clinic will continue to provide family medicine, laboratory services, and diabetic eye screening to members in the Leeward Oahu community.
The ceremony featured a traditional Hawaiian blessing by Kahu Kimo Keawe.
“Kapolei is one of Oahu’s fastest growing areas and we’re excited to add more services for the community,” said Janet Liang, president of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. “The new pharmacy is the eleventh location in our pharmacy network on Oahu, providing easy and convenient access for our members.”
The full-service pharmacy is integrated with KP HealthConnect, Kaiser Permanente’s electronic health record system that allows members 24/7 access to health management tools to schedule appointments and refill prescriptions at the touch of a button.
“Patients will now be able to see their doctor and fill their prescription in a single visit, saving them valuable time and improving their care experience,” said Stacey Honda MD, Associate Medical Director, Ancillary Specialties, Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. “We are excited and honored to enhance the Kapolei community’s care experience with this new pharmacy.”
The Kapolei Clinic Pharmacy is located in the Kapolei Clinic at 599 Farrington Highway and will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m).
