(LÎHU‘E) – In observance of Independence Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, along with all of the refuse transfer stations and HI-5 bottle redemption centers.
In addition, the Kekaha Landfill, Puhi Metals Recycling Center and the Kaua‘i Resource Center will be closed on July 4.
Other county facilities that will be closed on July 4 include the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools, all of the neighborhood centers, and all of the Sunshine markets.
The Kaua‘i Bus will also observe the holiday on July 4, and will operate on a modified schedule that day.
Residential refuse pick-up will continue as scheduled; it will not be affected by the holiday.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, July 5, except for the Kapa‘a and Waimea swimming pools. Since the pools are normally closed on Mondays, they will be closed on Tuesday, July 5 in observance of the holiday.
