(Kauai)– County officials announced today that a limited number of positions for college students will be available in the private sector through the Cost Sharing Summer Internship Program, a partnership between the county and local businesses.
The cost sharing program will run from June 18 to July 31.
Employment in the six-week program will be in the following areas: architecture; hotel operations – human resources and recreation; medical records; and property management and communications.
College students are encouraged to apply online on the county website, www.kauai.gov.
Applications are also available at the Department of Personnel Services, Suite 140. The office is located at the Lîhu’e Civic Center in the Mo’ikeha Building.
The deadline to apply for the Summer Internship Program is Saturday, March 31.
Those selected for employment will be required to pass a drug-screening test.
If an auxiliary aid or additional support is required for participation in the cost sharing program, please contact the Department of Personnel Services (DPS) at 241-4956 at least seven business days before the program begins.
