(Kauai)– The HI-5 bottle redemption centers in Kekaha and Kôloa will be closed for approximately one week from July 3 to July 9.
The closure is due to funding issues during the transition to the new fiscal year as these redemption centers are operated under a contract funded by the state Department of Health and administered by the county.
The county apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Those wanting to redeem HI-5 beverage containers during the closure are encouraged to go to any of the other six redemption sites on the island.
The locations and hours of operation at the redemption centers are available on the county website at www.kauai.gov/hi5.
