(WAIMEA) – The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) begins its next training in Waimea this month.
Classes will be held every Monday at the Waimea Neighborhood Center from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. starting April 14 through May 19.
CERT is a six-week disaster and emergency preparedness course that is tailored to citizens and taught by firefighters. It is free to residents, as part of a program sponsored by the Kaua’i Fire Department and the Kaua’i Civil Defense Agency.
Additional classes will be held islandwide. Dates and locations of upcoming classes will be announced as they are confirmed.
