(Maui)– Mayor Michael Victorino announced that restrooms at Kalama Park, Pukalani Park and Lower Paia Park will open starting Wednesday, April 8.
The restrooms will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will be cleaned four times per day. Restrooms will be closed during cleaning.
The County parks remain closed. The open Kalama Park restroom is located near the playground area.
“Opening these facilities will provide additional restrooms for our homeless community,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “The public is reminded not to congregate in or around restroom facilities and we ask for the community’s assistance in preventing vandalism.”
The three restroom facilities have been opened due to a limited supply of personal protective equipment.
Portable restrooms and handwashing stations will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week in current locations.
