(LĪHU‘E) –The County of Kaua‘i is announcing that the Annual Apprenticeship Day and Career Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, from 1 to 4 p.m.at the Kaua‘i Community College’s Office of Continuing Education, Room 105.
Representatives from trade industries and various organizations will discuss information on apprenticeships, career development, training and certifications, how to develop on-the-job training or apprenticeships within your business, how to start a small business, business support services and more.
Drawings and giveaways will also be offered at the event.
Minimum qualifications for apprenticeship programs include the following:
- Minimum of 18 years of age;
- Provide documention to verify age requirement: Birth certificate, state ID, or state driver’s license;
- Provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred,or a high school transcript showing proof of completion of a 10th grade education; and
- Provide a valid driver’s license when submitting an application and at the start of the apprenticeship evaluation.
This event is sponsored by the County of Kaua‘i, Kaua‘i Workforce Development Board, Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce, Kaua‘i Community College, and the Kaua‘i Filipino Chamber of Commerce.
Registration is free and still open to interested vendors who would like to participate.
