(Kauai)–The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk wishes to inform the public that Notice of Voter Registration and Address Confirmation Cards will be mailed to all registered voters during the last 2 weeks in June 2012.
Also, known as Voter Notification Cards or Yellow Cards, the postcards provide the dates of the upcoming elections, identify a voter’s polling place, and include other important election related information.
“We urge voters to carefully review their Voter Notification Card because their polling place may have changed as a result of precinct boundary changes required by the 2011 Legislative Reapportionment Plan,” said Ricky Watanabe, County Clerk.
In addition to possible polling place changes, voters are advised to review all information on the Voter Notification Card to ensure it is correct. If any information is incorrect or outdated, voters must re-register by completing and submitting another voter registration form. Voter registration forms are available online at: www.kauai.gov/elections or at the Elections Division office located at 4386 Rice Street in Lihu‘e. Individuals can also call the Elections Division at 241-4800 to receive a voter registration form by mail.
As a reminder, July 12, 2012 is the deadline for new voters to register to vote in the upcoming Primary Election on August 11, 2012.
For additional information, please call the Elections Division at 241-4800.
