(Honolulu)—Tori Richard Ltd. has opened its ninth retail location, at the Kahala Hotel & Resort. The 450-square-foot shop offers a mix of men’s and women’s destination-inspired apparel, designed exclusively by Tori Richard and predominantly manufactured in Honolulu.
Retail Manager Jason Zambuto said the legendary luxury resort is an ideal location for Tori Richard as the company expands its retail presence in the islands. “With its understated glamour and stunning oceanfront setting, The Kahala has long been famous as the destination of choice for discriminating guests from all over the world. We are delighted to bring the Tori Richard legacy to the mix.”
The store showcases the dramatic new look that has been infusing Tori Richard’s retail presence of late—a look first unveiled at a new Kalakaua Avenue location in October 2013, then at the King’s Shops in Waikoloa in December 2013, and at Ala Moana in February 2014.
Architect James Tucker Associates, contractor Bobby Marcos and designer Philpotts Interiors collaborated to create a tropical Pan-Pacific ambiance in cool Pacific blue and white, with cerused white oak and coral stone finishes.
The space also offers a premium customer shopping experience for hotel clientele with the new Tori Richard “Shirt Bar,” an intimate, individualized service to help customers determine the best fit, colors and prints as they build their wardrobe. In addition to traditional racks and hangers, shirts are beautifully displayed in a glass-topped cabinet and tucked into easy-access rolling shelves beneath, offering ample space on top to spread out shirt selections and create possible pairings with shorts and pants.
